God is Not Done With You Yet
Psalm 102:13
You will arise and have mercy on Zion;
For the time to favor her,
Yes, the set time, has come.
On the tower of an old English village there is a sun dial with the significant inscription, “Now, or When?”
This is a question that quietly underlies the lives of many Christians. Now or when? The Bible is laden with precious promises; promises of health and healing, promises of prosperity and deliverance, most of which seem out of the reach of many. Not because we do not believe, but because we are sometimes uncertain if they should become our realities now or sometime in the near or distant future. Is the favour of God available and potent to you now and present in your current situation? The answer is, yes.
Our opening scripture boldly declares that the set time to favour you has come. In other words, the set time to favour you is, now. God’s Promises are yea and amen in Christ Jesus. They are not for tomorrow, they are for you today. God’s favour is for you today. Reach out in faith and appropriate it. Do not let fear, anxiety and the seeming uncertainty of what tomorrow holds rob you of the possibilities available to you today in Christ Jesus. God has arisen. He has had mercy on you. He has favoured you. Do not see yourself any less than what you are – favoured.
This month, God’s emphasis to us is still on favour. Yes, July is our month of Supernatural Favour, and our scripture for the month is still Psalm 5:12, “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.”
Does this mean all your challenges in life would be completely obliterated? No. But it does mean that God will be with you through them all. Where others are falling, you will rise. Where others are failing, you will succeed. You are the favoured of God. You will not need to break your back to meet your basic needs and to fulfill God’s assignment for your life. Like Esther, you have been saved for such a time as this. You will find favour before great men. No door will be able to stay shut in your face because the set time to favour you has come. Live with a constant air of expectation this month, and always. Refuse to be taken in by unmet or unfulfilled desires. Expect the favour of God to come through for you now. Wake up each morning confessing God’s favour over your life. This is your moment. Now, faith is… Now favour is. Take it, in Jesus name!
