Walking in Victory

It’s A New Order!

By on March 1, 2016

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. Romans 5: 17

Mary Mother Jones, labelled at one time as the most dangerous woman in America, was a great revolutionary in her time. She rose to prominence as a distinguished orator and passionate organiser of unions.  She fought tirelessly in the age of industrialisation, tackling the elite on the need to create better work conditions for miners and, more importantly, to send their children to school rather than the fields. She travelled frequently, establishing unions and giving workers the right to demand for their rights. As a result, she garnered respect but also enemies. Arrested several times and often banished from various provinces, Mary Mother Jones was relentless. Today, she is widely regarded as the one who laid the foundation for the practice of workers’ union all over the world.

All through history, the world has been dominated by several revolutions, each led by men and women fierce and passionate enough to envision and pursue a new way of doing things—from Mahatma Ghandito Martin Luther King Jnr, Mother Theresa and Nelson Mandela, to mention a few. And these revolutions have often inspired radical shifts in status quo and heralded a more desired change.

Now, ancient Jews experienced a defining revolution in history that altered the course of their existence permanently. After 400 years enslaved in Egypt, it took an unlikely stuttering radical like Moses, divinely empowered by God, to lead the Israelites out of bondage. And like any achievement of that magnitude, they were confronted by heavy resistance from their slavemasters. However, theirs was an inevitable victory, because this freedom was one that had been promised them by Jehovah.

And two thousand years ago, “another radical Jew” walked through Israel, fighting for the oppressed, establishing a new order of righteousness, healing the sick, proclaiming the good news of dumfounding restoration and, most importantly, destroying all the works of the enemy—that is, the oppressor of mankind, the devil.

Like many great revolutionaries, Jesus too was resisted, even to the point of death. The only difference was that death did not stop him.

Today, the Christian testimony bears witness to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It remains the greatest revolution of history, with global influence and an expansive following. This is the very reason why Jesus Christ came as we see clearly in the opening scripture. By His death and sacrifice on the cross, He completely revolutionised humanity and restored mankind to His original place of son-ship.

More than ever, we are called to reign with Christ. But we can only access this grace through the divine revelation of what Christ has done. As the saying goes: “Every revelation will lead to a revolution.” It is what you know and internalise that will propel you to your desired change.

This month, step into the fullness of the finished work of the cross. Expect a change. Demand it by faith. You are called to a life of victory. You are created to manifest the grace and power of Christ. You cannot be stopped. Walk in boldness. Walk in dominion. You will testify in Jesus’ name.

Welcome to March, your month of Supernatural Revolution.
